Venue changes for Huntingdon and St Neots conversations following strong public interest
Capital&Centric and Huntingdonshire District Council recently invited local people to join in the conversation and have their say on potential new plans for Huntingdon, St Neots and St Ives.
The social impact developer is looking to bring forward potential plans that celebrate each town's unique identity while creating vibrant new neighbourhoods packed with green space, independent businesses and design-led homes.
Three drop-in events are planned for the 17th-19th August where residents, businesses and local groups are being invited to explore the proposals, speak to the project team and share their views.
Since the initial announcement was made, there has been strong public interest in the plans. Organisers have now decided to change the venues for the drop in events at St Neots and Huntingdon to ensure that there is capacity to accommodate more people.
Whilst the St Ives venue will remain at St Ives Corn Exchange on Wednesday 19th August (4-7pm), the Huntingdon event will be moved from Olmo Lounge to Huntingdon Market Square (Monday 17th August 4-7pm) and the St Neots event will be relocated from Ferro Lounge to St Neots Market Square (Tuesday 18th August 4-7pm).

“We’ve received a great deal of feedback over the past few days, and we know there’ll be more questions from residents and businesses, and that’s exactly why we’re having these conversations now and holding these events. The people of Huntingdonshire are very passionate about the future of their towns and rightly so. That’s why we’ve chosen to relocate two of the events to larger venues to allow more people to join us and share their aspirations.”
For anyone unable to attend in person, materials and questionnaires will be available online, with opportunities to submit feedback throughout the period.
