We're reimagining St Neots
We are exploring what the future of the car park on Tebbutts Road could look like. These are still early conversations, and we’re looking at how the site could become a vibrant, connected part of St Neots, drawing on the town’s market-town roots, heritage and character.
Our early thinking is about creating something that feels distinctly St Neots, with nods to the town’s past, familiar features and architecture that complements its classic skyline. We want to continue listening to the people who live, work in and visit the town as the ideas develop.
Any proposals for Tebbutts Road will take the wider picture into account, with the aim of ensuring the town continues to have the parking it needs.
The Plans.
We’re exploring how we could transform the site into a new neighbourhood that feels part of the wider town, bringing:
• A crinkle crankle walled garden, placing nature at the heart of the development, with trees and greenery throughout for residents and the wider community to enjoy
• A community pavilion set within the grounds, surrounded by walking routes and outdoor spaces to sit and take a break
• Up to 83 new homes, set within two, five-storey design led buildings
• High quality, civic architecture which draws on the history of the market town whilst fostering a new sense of community
• Commercial space for small, independent businesses to bring new people to the area and make Tebbutts Road the place to be
