Stoke’s Goods Yard flying as 115 homes already snapped up

Stoke-on-Trent’s boldest regeneration project, Goods Yard, is fast becoming the city’s hottest place to live, with over 115 of the 175 apartments already rented and demand going through the roof.

The first residents have wasted no time settling in, with close to 200 people now calling the neighbourhood home. From friendship groups to blossoming romances – plus plenty of four-legged friends – a whole new community is beginning to thrive in the heart of Stoke.

Residents are raving about the quality of the homes and the stand-out amenities. The on-site gym is already a daily routine for many, while the mini cinema has become a quirky favourite for movie nights. With the café-bar buzzing and more food and drink operators set to open in the ground floor spaces later this year, Goods Yard is only going to get livelier.

Capital&Centric say they’re on track to have the entire building full by the end of the year, well ahead of schedule. And with work underway to open up the train station car park directly into the new public gardens, people will soon be able to stroll straight through Goods Yard, past the café-bars and restaurants, making it one of the busiest and most connected parts of Stoke.

Tom Wilmot, Joint Managing Director at Capital&Centric, said:

“We always knew Goods Yard would be a game-changer for Stoke, but even we’ve been blown away by the demand. To have nearly two-thirds of the apartments already rented, months ahead of where we thought we’d be, is amazing. What’s even better is seeing the new community forming here – neighbours becoming mates, even couples getting together – it’s exactly what we set out to do. Goods Yard is about creating a place that brings people together and puts the city firmly back on the map.”

Liz Kenworthy, Head of Community at Ollo, said:

“The response has been incredible. We knew there was an appetite for high-quality homes in Stoke, but we didn’t expect demand to be this strong. People walk in and are genuinely surprised by the size of the apartments, the finishes, and the social spaces like the gym and cinema. It’s creating such a buzz and we’re really proud to be building a community here.”
