We’ve been brought on by Homes England to cook up some big plans for Northstowe.
We’re developing a vision for a buzzing town centre. There’ll be beautifully designed, sustainable homes but it’s the spaces in between that make a real neighbourhood.
Think lush green hangouts, shops, bars, cafes, workspaces and community spaces to get people together. There’s already a pioneering community in Northstowe which needs space to interact and grow.
Social Spaces
It’s early days and we’ve been spending the last few months getting under the skin of the community, understanding what’s been said before and coming up with some initial ideas.
First up, we’re getting cracking with creating meanwhile uses – some cool hangout and community spaces that we can set up quickly to provide places for people to socialise.
New towns often get a bad rep and frankly in the past have been pretty soulless. But we’re determined to get this right and create a place with a standout identity, that stands the test of time and that the community can be proud of.

Location.
Northstowe is a new town set just outside Cambridge, with easy access to the city. There's already a pioneering community living there, but it's missing a proper town centre with places to eat, drink, shop, work and socialise.
